MG Astor SUV to be Launched in Nepal: Complete Specifications and Features
The MG Astor, a new 5-seater
SUV, will soon be available in Nepal. The MG Astor will make its Nepali debut
at the 2022 NADA Auto Show, according to Paramount Motors, the official
distributor of MG automobiles in that country. A compact SUV with a good balance
of design, quality, performance, and safety is the MG Astor. Astor is available
from MG Motor in four different trim levels: Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp.
There is an EX version of each trim that omits a few safety features.
Two gasoline engines are
available for the MG Astor: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated mill that produces
a maximum of 110 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed manual
and CVT options, and a 1.3-liter turbocharged unit that produces a maximum of
138 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque when paired with a 6-speed automatic
transmission. The Astor, however, is without a diesel engine. MacPherson Struts
in the front and Torsion Beams in the back are responsible for the suspension.
The MG Astor has a 10.1-inch
touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, AI-driven
features with voice command-based functions, a 7-inch fully-digital instrument
cluster, a 360-degree camera, and LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, fog
lights with cornering function, a new grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails,
and a shark-fin antenna. Additionally, it has automatic climate control and
wipers that can detect rain.
Additional features include
adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking,
lane-keeping/departure assist, rear cross-traffic alert, high-beam assist, and
blind spot recognition. It also has ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
Six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, brake aid, a 360-degree camera, traction
control, hill hold/descent control, and disc brakes are all included in its
safety features. Additionally, it has an electronic parking brake and a fully
powered driver's seat.
Astor is available from MG
Motor in four trim levels: Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp. Spiced Orange,
Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, Candy White, and Starry Black are the five hues that
are offered. It is anticipated that the MG Astor will cost between NRs. 50 and
NRs. 70 lakhs in Nepal. The Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda
Kushaq, Nissan Kicks, and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will all be competitors of the
