The sole distributor for Suzuki Motors in Nepal, CG MotorCorp, has confirmed the launch of the new generation Suzuki Baleno hatchback in Nepal. The 2022 Suzuki Baleno, which is already on the Indian market, is doing well due to its impressive design language and performance. Despite the firm's confirmation of the new Baleno's launch in Nepal, major updates such as price and launch date are still missing. But first, let's take a quick look at the new Suzuki hatchback's features and specifications.
2022 Suzuki Baleno Overview
Design
In terms of design, the new Suzuki Baleno is more modern and has a more premium feel than its predecessor. Although it appears to be similar to the previous Baleno at first glance, some new design elements have been introduced. The main design changes are the addition of a new signature Projector Headlamp with NEXTre's LED DRLs and a NEXWave Grille with a premium chrome strip. The hatchback's front bumper has also been slightly modified. In addition, the new Baleno gets redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels and wraparound LED taillights.
Interior
The long-awaited Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 features a Heads Up Display, or HUD. It has a new 9-inch digital HD touchscreen infotainment system that also supports SmartPlay Pro+ for entertainment.
Engine and Performance
The Heartect platform underpins the hatchback. Now for the important part, the engine. The engine in the new Suzuki Baleno remains the same. The hatchback is still powered by its old 1.2L DualJet Petrol Unit, which produces 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. However, an AGS gearbox is also available. The new Baleno has a 2520mm wheelbase and a 170mm ground clearance.
Safety Features
Reverse Parking Sensors, ISOFIX anchors, up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, and other new safety features are available on the 2022 Baleno. SRS airbags are standard in both the driver's and front passenger's seats, with curtain and side airbags helping to reduce further impact for added safety.
